This is your opportunity to showcase skills that may not be seen in any other portion of competition and demonstrate to the judges your ability to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. These competitions add to the enjoyment of pageant weekend and with five categories to choose from, there's something for everyone so choose to compete in as many as you want! All optional events are open to all age divisions and each entry is $50. Deadline for entry into Optionals competition is July 20.
Photogenic
If you love to have fun in front of the camera or want to showcase that amazing photo of yourself, this is the optional event for you! This portion of the competition is open to everyone and enjoys unlimited entries. All entry photos must be printed 8x10 and professionally shot and recent. Please note that each photo is its own entry and there is an entry fee for each photo. Please bring print photos with you to registration. They will be returned after the competition.
Talent
Show us your unique or outstanding ability in the Talent Competition! This is your opportunity to exhibit how well you can connect with others through your entertainment abilities. Showcase skills that may not be seen in any other portion of competition and demonstrate to the judges your ability to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. It’s your chance to shine and step into the spotlight! The Talent Competition is limited to one entry and must be no longer than 90 seconds, age appropriate outfits and handheld props are allowed. However, no backdrops permitted. Please bring two copies of any talent singing or background music on a flash drive to registration. They will be returned after the competition. 2 min max
Spokesmodel
Warm and friendly judges are ready to have a one-on-one conversation with you in order to get to know who you really are and not just what you look like on stage. Wear that favorite dress, pantsuit, or skirt and top combo that says something about you, but remember, this is a job interview because being a Miss Empire USA National Queen is real work so look sharp!
Fun Fashion
What would you wear on the red carpet, a special event, or a night out on the town? What outfit says YOU? Model an age appropriate outfit of your own choice that portrays your personal sense of style and fashion. It's all about how well you wear it and the message it sends to the audience and judges! This is your chance to show off your personality and confidence on the runway! Props are acceptable, but should not be distracting. Hats must show clear visibility of face.
